What Is a Termite Reticulation System?

The Future of Termite Prevention

A termite reticulation system is an innovative underground network of pipes that delivers termiticides into the soil, creating a protective barrier to prevent termites from infesting your property. At Techno Pest Control, we use Termipore, a leading brand known for its durability, efficiency, and flexibility.  A termite reticulation system is a series of pipes around a structure. Once the system is installed it is filled with an appropriate Termiticide. The Termiticide that can be used will depend on the type of reticulation system that is installed.

As your local pest control professionals in the Philippines, we will give advice on the best termite barrier for your property.
There are many different types of termite barriers that can be installed to protect a home. They all are good if installed correctly and regularly monitored.
Remember there is no silver bullet where termites are concerned. All termite barriers can be breached, regardless of what your termite company tells you.
The termite reticulation system has been around for many years. A reticulation system is just one of many ways to help stop termites from causing damage. They can be installed for new homes and existing homes.

Choosing the right termite barrier system for your home is important. Your termite expert should give all options available. And explained the benefits of each.

Termipore is A globally used, fast growing technology to prevent loss and damage due to termites.  TermiPore Pipe is made of special elastomeric compound that gives a honeycomb structure to its walls. Although many refer to it as porous pipe, Termipore material is significantly different with many additives and made using a proprietory process. TermiPore is designed and manufactured specially for sub surface reticulation and preventive termite treatment. It is a highly dependable, effective, affordable and long-lasting pipe for preventive anti-termite reticulation systems.

WHY IS TERMIPORE RETICULATION SYSTEM SUPERIOR
TO OTHER SYSTEMS OF PROTECTION

  • Concealed installation

  • Easy to install

  • High thickness

  • Manufactured by an ISO 9001:2015 certified company

  • Stringent quality control

  • Long lasting

  • Consistent flow

  • Uniform micro holes throughout the pipe (50-80 per meter)

TermiPore Pipes are made of a specially formulated thermoplastic elastomeric compound that has a specific as well as assured flow rate. The flow rate has been identified as optimum after years of trial and research. There are various ways that reticulation pipes are installed and used, and that changes from place to place. TermiPore pipe flow rate is designed so that even when the installation and use is a little different from that recommended, the termiticide will reach everywhere.  An Anti-termite Reticulation System is an arrangement of pipes (that are specially manufactured for this purpose), in an interlacing net like pattern, to supply termiticide throughout the layout. Pipes are laid in a crisscross pattern and termiticide is injected from the outlets extended up to the specially designed junction box Click here for Installation Method
Taking a cue from nature, a network of pipes is installed underground, or below the tiles, with junction boxes at regular intervals.Termiticides are injected from the outlet extended to the junction box, usually installed on the external walls of the premises. The treatment is hassle-free, safe, quick and it does not disturb anyone present on the site. Click here for Installation Method

Complete Installation Process of a Termite Reticulation System

Step-by-Step Installation with Termipore Pipes

  • Initial Property Assessment

  • Objective: Our licensed technicians inspect the property to determine termite risk areas, soil type, and optimal pipe layout.

  • Tools Used: Moisture meters, termite detection devices, and marking tools.

  • Trench Digging

  • Trenches are dug around the foundation or other critical areas, usually 200–300 mm deep and 150–200 mm wide.

  • Tools Used: Shovels, trench diggers, and leveling tools.

  • Laying the Reticulation System

  • Piping Material: Flexible and durable Termipore pipes, resistant to blockages and chemical degradation.

  • Pipes are strategically laid to ensure complete coverage around the structure.

  • System Anchoring and Testing

  • The pipes are securely anchored with stakes or clips to prevent shifting during backfilling.

  • Testing: The system is tested by flushing water to check for uniform distribution and detect potential blockages.

  • Filling and Backfilling

  • The system is initially filled with an FDA-approved termiticide.

  • The trenches are backfilled and compacted to restore the soil.

  • Final Termiticide Application and Inspection

  • Our team applies a high-quality termiticide, such as those containing Fipronil or Chlorpyrifos, into the reticulation system.

  • A final inspection ensures everything is functioning as designed.
